Oak Street Beach

September 1st and the weather is already cooler. The breezes are picking up. The lake is choppy. Kids are in school. People wear long sleeves and pants.

At first, it’s hard to think where this year has gone, but then I remember everywhere that I’ve been; Cancun, Mexico, a road trip to Louisville, Kentucky for the eclipse, New York City, New York, Las Vegas, Nevada, home for two weddings, Port of Spain Trinidad, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. It’s no wonder that I feel that the time since January has flown!

It’s been busy but in the best way. I’ve seen friends from home multiple times who I usually see only once or twice a year. I’ve done so much and I still have so much time! That being said, I think most of my time will be spent here in Chicago, catching up on sleep and visiting some of my favorite spots.
