If you’re curious about me, I grew up in a small Midwestern town and worked my way to a high rise in Chicago after snagging a degree in Hospitality from DePaul University. Despite my day job, I’ve always loved writing and this blog has been living and breathing since 2016 (ten years, holy shit).

I take the classic advice to write what you know pretty seriously. That means you’ll find book reviews every month, posts about the millions of restaurants to visit in Chicago (I am in hospitality after all), and a few potentially heart-wrenching personal stories about some of the crazy (and maybe not so crazy) things I’ve experienced to which I hope we can all relate.
