The Lakefront

It’s been a while since I’ve walked along the lake and it reminds me that the view may still be one of my favorites. I think it’s exactly the right distance from the actual buildings. I think that’s what gives it its magic.

Often I have to remind myself how lucky I am. Who knows how many times I wished to live in Chicago? Who knows how many times I said that I wanted to live in an apartment with a view? I got exactly what I wished for and the city is so beautiful.

These are the romantic thoughts that walking along the lake elicit. The amazing weather, sunset, and nostalgia that comes with the last weekend of the summer may have something to do with it too.
