Day 17

Huron Street

Work is busy this week and it felt really nice to come home and have my boyfriend there, even if it also meant his friend/our old coworker was also there. We fell into a comfortable silence and watched tv and after he left, Marco and I went for a walk and enjoyed a joint.

I noticed how pleasantly warm the weather was and remembered that it might not last too much longer. I love fall and I’m oddly looking forward to the holidays this year but still, I’ll miss summer. There’s something so lovely about the transition from summer to fall though, and I really hope to enjoy it. If there’s one thing I’ve learned since graduation and “becoming and adult”, it’s that if you don’t take the time to celebrate special events or holidays, no one will do it for you and they will pass like any other day.

I love romanticizing my own life. I love dressing up for no reason, internally narrating my everyday errands, people watching and realizing that everyone I pass has a story equally as complicated as mine. Even hard days at work make for some of the most entertaining episodes of the tv show that is my life playing inside my head. I make it fun because it is fun! Life is fun and even the hard parts are just plot points to get you to the fun parts.
