Water Tower Place

Marco and I often overhear brief snippets of other peoples’ conversations as we pass. Since we hear such a small part of what they’re saying, it’s so easy to take out of context and laugh at what we imagine they are discussing. It’s a pretty common source of entertainment for us and we made no exception tonight. Here are a few things we heard:

“I love that for them.” -a woman talking about another person’s two dogs

“I wasn’t going to say anything about it, but then I noticed the 3% surcharge!” -a man walking across the street with a woman

“Yeah, we had a great time.” -a man waving his cane and yelling from the sidewalk to someone inside of a restaurant

It’s funny to listen to other people and imagine what they’re going through, and tonight Marco asked if I thought other people do that to us. I said they most certainly do, and we’re probably a pretty good source of entertainment ourselves.
