Mr. Beef
Tonight we bid summer goodbye. At the risk of sounding cliche, I have to say that this summer passed so quickly, and the fact that September is more than half over is causing me a slight panic. To make sure that Summer 2023 is properly recognized, I wrote a letter:
Dear Summer,
Like every time you’ve left, it’s sad to see you go. We had some memorable moments on the beach, swimming in the pool, watching fireworks every Wednesday and Saturday evening, and enjoying all the greenery that the warm air brings. And while every day wasn’t easy, I felt comfort in the fact that in time, I would feel another sunbeam on my face and ease into the heat like a conversation with an old friend.
It may be some time before we meet again, and it may begin to feel like we’ve forgotten each other, but I know when cold winter days turn to rainy fogs, and harsh chills turn to soft, warm breezes, we’ll see each other again and remember all the good that we bring each other.
Sincerely,
Your City Summer Girl
