Ward A. Montgomery Park

I know that River North itself is a neighborhood, but with all the highrises and very little greenery it can feel very concrete and claustrophobic and not much like a neighborhood at all. That’s why I love the few green spaces that there are and the small things that do make the area feel homey. Like the guy from our building who you can always catch smoking a cigarette by the back entrance between 9:15 and 9:45 pm, or the cozy-feeling 7/11 by this park where I've made a habit of buying myself a small hot chocolate to enjoy on the walk home.

Sure the main streets are packed with tourists, but the residential pockets of River North can feel like home if you look hard enough.
