Brown Line CTA

Sunset from the Brown Line

The perfect view

A blob of bright orange to the left

So bright it doesn’t seem natural

Red above it

With thin lines of blue between

Steeples, chimneys, satellite dishes, and water towers silhouetted against the blaze

Power lines following the tracks

Fluffy pink trails to the right

Like stray strands of cotton candy falling from the cauldron

Quiet, dark streets slip by below

Headlights and tail lights backed up at stop lights

The skyline behind reflects the last of the radiant show

Giving the sun it’s final tribute before making its own glow

My mom said that God paints the sky every evening

I’m glad I get to see this

Sunset from the Brown Line
