Jeni’s Ice Creams

My Jeni’s craving has finally been satisfied! Ice cream is so comforting for me. When my brother and I were really young, my parents would buy one of those giant tubs of ice cream from Kroger and a bag of mini Snickers and make milkshakes for family movie nights. As soon as I was old enough, I would walk or ride my bike a mile or so to our town Dairy Queen and spend my paper route money on a small blizzard. When I got older, I got a job scooping ice cream at a mini golf course with one of my best friends and by the end of our tenure, we recruited one more of our best friends to work there too. Sometimes all three of us got to work a shift together and we had some great times.

I have a lot of great memories associated with ice cream. In fact, just this week I tried vegan ice cream for the first time with a friend and Marco and I ended our date night with Jeni’s tonight. You can hardly go wrong when ice cream is involved.
