Washington Square Park

Tonight, my girls Haley and Emma walked with me to Washington Square Park to sit and smoke and digest after a meal at Somerset that was nothing less than indulgent. The flow of the meal was quite European: we sat outside, ordered each course only after receiving the prior, and sipped coffee and espresso with dessert. Luckily, I formerly worked with the executive pastry chef and she was kind enough to send a few things our way during our meal. Her desserts can only be described as genius.

Needless to say, I’ll be in for the rest of the night, reminiscing about the budino.
