Favorite Quote:

"I'm lucky to have so much past, so many memories. It's a gift to age. Even though sometimes it really sucks."

We forget that aging is a gift that many don't get to experience. And yes, some things that used to be easy get more difficult and not everything about it is always fun or enjoyable, but I really want to think about aging as a gift instead of trying to fight it.

This Book at a Glance:

Contemporary- It has been a while since I've read a romance novel, not to mention one that has been published in the last 5 to 10 years, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed reading something that felt relevant.

Takeaways:

This book made me realize that there are quality romance novels out there that are enjoyable and do more than simply push predictable tropes. I really admired the summertime nostalgia Fortune packed into this novel, and reading it on vacation just felt right.
