Can we get on with the four day workweek already? I really don’t want to be retired by the time it goes into effect. And trust me, if I have my way, I’ll be retiring early.

It’s not that I hate my job, I actually have it pretty good. I’ve had to work my way up to it, that’s for sure, but now that I have, I’m very grateful. The job is fine, it’s the fact that I have to spend 40 hours of my life every week doing things that I don’t necessarily want to do. And I'm good at it! It’s just not the life we were meant to live and while that is a problem in itself, a reduced workload would be a good start to fixing it. I would prefer to spend my time reading, or writing, or with my loved ones. Two days is not enough time to enjoy your life without the burden of work.
