The hottest and most coveted literary award right next to The Pulitzer Prize.
Welcome to Redhead Said's 2023 wrap up! I learned a lot about the genres of books that I enjoy the most this year. I was also reminded that my reading goals require dedication that is much easier to come by in the warm, outdoor-friendly months. Here's to last year's conquests and this year's improvements!

Stats!
Pages read: 5,513
Longest book: The Secret History, 559
Oldest book: Jane, 1973

Most Twisted:
Incredibly popular and often-reviewed, the story and characters really stick with you and you find yourself searching for them in other TV shows, movies, and books. The writing is beautiful, the setting is enchanting, and it is definitely worth the hype.
Most Unexpected:
I enjoyed this story and the writing throughout all the twists and turns and I felt that the ending was fitting despite what it meant for the characters. I loved how well it fit into its historical setting and really made me believe that it was a lost piece of history. It shed light on power and corruption in its time and I embraced the main character and her conflicts.
More Historical Fiction:
Most Heartbreaking:
This book was eye opening to culture and life in Bombay and I truly loved the main character’s story. Besides the beautiful writing, I was able to lose myself in the story and truly be surprised by the twists and the ending. I feel that this is a cannot miss read.
